Governing returns to Austin for the sixth annual Texas Governing Leadership Forum on May 19, 2016. The State of Texas is a leader among states in diversifying the economy, creating new jobs, prioritizing education, and tackling tough policy issues. Cities and counties throughout Texas are implementing innovative strategies and measuring their performance resulting in greater transparency and accountability, increasing citizen engagement and most importantly results. Governing will again invite leaders from state and local government to share their successes and inspire action by each and every attendee. Plenary sessions will include high level leaders sharing their vision for leadership and the future of public service. Concurrent sessions will dive deeper into the major challenges and transformative solutions for a dynamic future in Texas.

Governing has secured a small block of rooms at the Hilton Austin. Please reference the group name, GOVERNING Texas: A Leadership Forum or the group code, GOV517, in order to receive the group rate over the contracted dates.

Guests are able to book guestrooms until April 18 or until the room block has been filled (whichever comes first). The rate is subject to space and rate availability and may sell out before the cut-off date. Once the room block has sold out, the rate will be based on availability.

Hotel parking garage is located on Red River between 5th and 4th street.

Hotel parking is based upon availability on a first come first serve basis. Current event rates are: six hours or less self-parking $10.00 per vehicle; more than six hours self-parking is $20.00 per vehicle. Event valet parking is $20.00 per vehicle.

Kiosks for payment located in the PARKING GARAGE accept credit cards only. Cash and credit card are accepted at both kiosks located in the lobby on level two.
