GOVERNING Summit on Healthy Living - 2012 Overview

This year's summit offers the opportunity for public sector leaders to learn about how to connect, design, and implement healthy living programs and strategies for their communities.With a focus on outcomes, this year's Summit will bring together state and local officials with innovative non-profit groups, professional associations, thought leaders and GOVERNING's editorial team of preeminent writers.
Summit attendees will be called on to share current strategic plans and projects under consideration along with the barriers and problems for implementation for their jurisdictions.
A post-event summary planning guide capturing the summit's conversations will be distributed through GOVERNING's national network.
The summit agenda will focus on these four "pillars for healthy living:"

- Using Data to Generate Positive Outcomes
- Transportation and Community Design
- Economic Drivers for Healthy Communities
