    The Master of Public Adminsitration (MPA) Program at Stephen F. Austin State Universtiy offers an outstanding educational oppurtunity in East Texas. Students can remain viable parts of the public and private sector workforces as they complete night classes on campus and through web-based instruction. Graduate assistantants are provided oppurtunties to gain administrative, research and teaching experiences.

     
    Students can customize his or her degree plan by selecting a minor related to their interests in public administration. In addtion, students can select between the special research project or thesis options. All graduates of the MPA program at SFA will be able to demonstrate viable research skills that are important in both academic and applied settings. Pre-service students may be required to serve as an intern under the direction of a faculty advisor and agency supervisor. Internships allow students to demonstrate valuable and sought after skills, while allowing the student to prepare for the future as a part of an administration team.
     
    The SFA MPA provides an intimate, focused program set within the piney woods of East Texas. Your graduate education with us may only last a few brief years, but we are devoted to ensuring you graduate prepared for a rewarding career.
