The Department of Urban Studies and Public Administration (USPA) at Old Dominion University offers an undergraduate minor in Public Service, a Master of Public Administration, and a Ph.D. in Public Administration and Urban Policy. The MPA program is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration, the national certifying organization for public administration programs.
A certificate program in Public Management is offered for students that already hold a masters degree from an accredited institution. Students enrolled in the Advanced Certificate program focus in one of the following areas: Conflict Resolution and Negotiation, Human Resource Management, Public Policy, Public Budgeting and Finances, and General Public Sector Management.
