Apparently, former VA Gov. Mark Warner has entered his Second Life. Nah, he's not dead.
He's just joined the online alternate universe called Second Life. It's a 3D online virtual community with over 600,000 members in 100 different countries. You can read more about it here.
Second Life has been around since 2003, but Warner says he's the first U.S. politician to engage in the alt-world. He also says:
"Since I left the Virginia governor's office this year, I've traveled across the country to 24 states helping solutions-oriented candidates campaign for congressional and statehouse races," said Governor Warner. "In Second Life, distances and time differences vanish. It will allow us to reach people through a whole new medium."
Warner kicked off his virtual presence yesterday with an interview with Wagner James Au, a reporter embedded in Second Life. The interview was held at the New Globe Theater on Millions of Us Island.
Um, seriously.
