Who Ya Gonna Call? GooseBuster.

Goosebuster Our magazine only comes out once a month. Collectively, we only write a couple of blog posts a day. So how on Earth do Governing employees spend all their time?

We read e-mails like this one:

Subject: PR: GooseBuster adds optional gunshot & coyote sounds

Dear Editor:

We are pleased to submit a press release on improved GooseBuster, the world's first and only Canada goose repeller to feature actual alert and alarm calls recorded in the wild, and now the world's only repeller to also feature optional coyote sounds and gunshots from a goose's perspective.  Its development was based on the scientific lab and field studies conducted by Dr. Philip Whitford, a noted expert in the field of animal behavior who has studied Canada goose behavior and vocal communications since 1979 and has published more than 60 articles on the subject.

About

Written and compiled by staff writers and editors, GOVERNING View is an on-the-ground, and sometimes behind-the-scenes, look at the topics we're covering in print and online. From notes on what's up in statehouses, county courthouses and city halls, to encounters with people, places and things, GOVERNING View is a window into the side of state and local government you don't always see.
