Governing recognizes several public officials each year, with an award we oh-so-creatively call Public Officials of the Year.
In addition to writing profiles of these public servants' accomplishments in the magazine, we host an awards dinner for them in D.C.
We held the dinner last week, and, for the first time, we taped it.
