Watch Out, Corzine!

The next governor of New Jersey could come from the checkout line at the local supermarket -- at least on the TV. From Variety :

Lifetime has made a pilot order for "The Amazing Mrs. Novak," an hourlong drama based on six-part U.K. series "The Amazing Mrs. Pritchard," which first aired on the BBC in 2006. [...]

Series will revolve around Trish Novak, a supermarket manager, wife and mother of two who, through a series of unexpected circumstances, becomes governor of New Jersey.

Sure it's implausible, but is it really any wilder than the last exchange of power in New Jersey?
