Virginia Fires Its Tech Chief, Readers Fire Off
A story in Friday's Richmond Times-Dispatch about how the "embattled" Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) interim CIO met with and praised employees, brought a slew of vitriol from readers.
One commenter suggested that political appointees had been "bought" by "mammoth" campaign contributions from the contractor, Northrop-Grumman.
Another blamed current technology problems on agencies missing scheduled windows for the work needed to be done.
A third criticized how VITA pulled in agency employees when it was first formed five years ago.
