One of the major ongoing political stories over the past couple of years, and certainly this year, is renewed two-party competition in the Mountain West. It was for more than a decade solid Republican territory, rivaling the South in allegiance. Now, Democrats control everything in Colorado and hold governorships in Arizona, Montana, New Mexico, etc.
