Earlier this month, Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich appeared on Comedy Central's "The Daily Show", defending his position that the state can require pharmacists to dispense the "morning after" pill.

But today, Blagojevich admits he didn't know "The Daily Show" was a joke. He thought it was a legit news program, and he took it seriously.

If you watch the clip of Blago, he actually comes off as intelligent and articulate -- not as the brunt of a joke. But it's funny to watch knowing he thought he was conducting a serious interview with a news program.

At one point, he turns to the crew and, referring to the interviewer, asks, "Is he teasing me, or is that legit?"
