Flogging Two Dead Horses
A Field Poll shows that only a quarter of Californians would consider voting for Michael Bloomberg for president, while two-thirds would "definitely not."
But why do we have to keep discussing the question of whether he is running? He says he isn't, and even if he did, what is his constituency supposed to be made of? People who want to combine the financial acumen of Mitt Romney with the height challenges of Dennis Kucinich?
Seriously, what is Bloomberg's national appeal supposed to be? He's been a good mayor of New York City. But that hardly seems to be the strongest qualification, based on Rudy ("I'll Pick Which State I'll Finish Third Not Last In") Giuliani's performance.
