No Wide Stance, But This One's Got Cross-Dressing

Curtis_3 Another day, another gay Republican legislator sex scandal.

Washington State Rep. Richard Curtis has resigned his seat amid revelations of a sexual encounter he had with a man last Friday in Spokane. Curtis was in Spokane on a GOP retreat.

The events came to light because the man was demanding money from Curtis and threatening to out him to his wife and family. Curtis paid him $1,000 but then went to the police (which, by the way, is an excellent way to keep things secret).

Anyway, what's this scandal got for us?

Let's see. There's a porn store, a state legislator in drag, a tryst at Spokane's fanciest hotel, extortion. Oh, and maybe a prostitution ring.

Yawn.
