Marginally Better Than Coal

Goft Still stumped on what gifts to get your loved ones? Alabama Governor Bob Riley has some suggestions.

"Show your family and friends how much you care by giving the gift of preparedness," he declares in a press release.

So what might the "gift of preparedness" entail? Here's the list: "flashlights, blankets, first aid supplies, non-perishable food and bottled water."

With goodies like that, the tough part will be convincing Alabamans not to use them until there's an actual emergency.
