Let's Get Ready to Interoperably Rumble!

Punch We talk a lot about interoperability among first responders. It can be tough for police and fire departments to get on the same page. Their technology may be different, and there can be serious turf wars and disagreements over leadership.

But those groups are rarely actually fighting each other.

In Albuquerque, though, they are.  Physically.  In a boxing ring.

Despite strong objections from the city, firefighters and police officers are going ahead with their annual Rumble in Rio, a boxing match to raise money for a charity that gives bikes to kids.

Maybe the winner gets to determine the radio frequency for emergency response broadcasts?
