Finally, Data We Can Use: Per Capita Beer Brewing by State




Here's a map, courtesy of SloshSpot, of brewery density per capita in these United States:

As a native Montanan, I'm not surprised we're high on the leaderboard. We've got the right mix of beer drinkin' country folks and microbrewing transplants from the West Coast. Maine, Vermont, and Oregon more or less fit that profile as well.

I was at first surprised to see that the South doesn't have more brewing, but then I realized that they are likely "brewing" something else down there.
