Cruz Cashes In

Cruz_2 I just got a press release announcing that Texas Solicitor General Ted Cruz, whom I wrote about in Governing's February issue, is leaving for private practice:

HOUSTON, May 5, 2008: Morgan Lewis today announced that Texas Solicitor General R. Ted Cruz will join the firm as Partner in the Litigation Practice on May 12, resident in the firm's Houston office. Mr. Cruz--who returns to private practice following a meteoric rise in law and government--will also maintain a presence in the firm's Washington office.

About

Written and compiled by staff writers and editors, GOVERNING View is an on-the-ground, and sometimes behind-the-scenes, look at the topics we're covering in print and online. From notes on what's up in statehouses, county courthouses and city halls, to encounters with people, places and things, GOVERNING View is a window into the side of state and local government you don't always see.
