California's Budget Isn't a Game. Oh Wait. Yeah, It Is.

Calbudget

Nobody envies the position California's lawmakers are in. They have a $21.3 billion hole to fill.

But do those of us who aren't state lawmakers really understand the tough choices that they have had and will have to make? Try playing Next 10's California Budget Challenge game.

The game allows players to figure out how to fill the void by choosing to increase or decrease spending and taxes. Each choice provided includes pros and cons and potential roadblocks with each approach. Try it out and see if you can balance California's budget.
