Pumpkins Rounding out this week's stories on Official State Fish and Official State Dances That Sound Like Coronary Problems, the New Hampshire Senate has voted to make the pumpkin the official state fruit.

The pumpkin (which might not even be a fruit) was chosen in an almost unanimous vote. "[T]he one holdout," says the AP, was Sen. Robert Boyce, "arguing in favor of the strawberry."
