As you probably heard, Chelsea Clinton was asked about Monica Lewinsky by a student in Indiana last week. Today, she was asked again by a student in North Carolina.
She repeated her line that it's "none of your business." Fair enough. Chelsea Clinton might be too young to remember much about 1998. Although, surely she heard about the impeachment proceedings against her dad around the house. Then,
After a pause, Clinton said that she didn't think anyone should vote for or against her mother because of her father.
Let's put aside the question of whether Hillary Clinton would have as much support and celebrity -- or received as much of a backlash from black voters -- were it not for Bill Clinton. And let's put aside the question of whether Sen. Clinton herself should have been asked at some point earlier in this process about her husband's shenanigans.
Which leaves us with just this question: Why should anyone be there listening to her daughter as a surrogate, if the daughter is claiming that family ties are irrelevant?
