The Columbia State takes a look at some of the politicking going on at the RNC convention in St. Paul -- in this case, the early jostling for the GOP nomination to succeed Mark Sanford as governor of South Carolina.

A handful of contenders have begun raising money and building a network to succeed Gov. Mark Sanford. They include: U.S. Rep. Gresham Barrett, R-Westminster, Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer and Attorney General Henry McMaster.
