Lynch won a surprise victory in 2004 and has never turned back. In his first term, he did a good job handling some major floods, which earned him some good will.
Lynch is the perfect Democrat for New Hampshire. He's socially progressive (he signed a same-sex civil union bill, for example), but he doesn't try to test the limits of the fiscally conservative New Hampshire voters. He has adamantly opposed a state income tax, for example.
In 2006, Lynch won a historically large victory. Let's see if he can break his record this year.
