Mary Cheney has given $3,000 to the campaign against the gay marriage ban in California -- as in, the side that favors gay marriage. Yes, that Mary Cheney. That isn't too surprising, as she has become more outspoken in favor of gay rights the last few years.
Kudos, by the way, to the California Secretary of State's Office for having a great interface for looking up campaign contributions online. From the Web site, I could easily confirm that Mary Cheney of Great Falls, Virginia, who works in public relations for Navigators LLC., gave $3,000 on June 4, 2008 to "No on 8, Equality for All."
