Two Governing "Public Officials of the Year" have been declared winners so far tonight -- current honoree Mitch Daniels, the Republican just reelected governor of Indiana, and Mark Warner, honored in 2004 as the Democratic governor of Virginia, who has taken the U.S. Senate seat against his predecessor, Jim Gilmore.
