Larry Farnese, who narrowly lost to Pennsylvania state Rep. Babette Josephs two years ago, has dropped the idea of a rematch in favor of a run against Philadelphia Sen. Vincent Fumo in the April 22 Democratic primary.

Fumo was indicted on 139 counts of conspiracy, fraud, obstruction of justice, etc., a year ago. (Irrelevant but noted: Earlier today, he underwent back surgery.)
