From National Review's The Corner:
Kogelo, Kenya -- Here at the home village of Obama's father, there are some 50 members of the international press corps camping out - some literally in tents. Just saw one of them almost gored when she came too close to a bull, tethered to a tree in the Obama compound, which is due to be slaughtered in Sen Obama's honor for tomorrow's celebrations. At the village dispensary, a generator has been set up with a large TV screen to watch returns. There is also an all-night prayer vigil in the village, with 40 mostly evangelical and pentecostal leaders in attendance offering up ecstatic prayers for "our brother Barack." According to his half-brother Malick, the senator had a phone conversation with him Saturday, though he declined to say what was discussed.
No word yet on what McCain may barbecue tonight.

GOVERNING Politics is the place for news and analysis on campaigns and elections. If there's a ballot measure in California, a legislative election in Alabama, a mayoral election in Anchorage or a governor's race in Rhode Island, GOVERNING Politics probably is writing about it. We love everything about state and local politics, from polls and campaign ads to policy debates and demographic trends.
