Ballot Box Live

Last week, at Governing's annual Outlook conference, we spoke at a panel with our CQ colleague Greg Giroux all about politics 2008. We covered the most competitive governor's races, talked about which legislative chambers are in play and previewed both the key issues and the most notable ballot measures to emerge so far.

Typically, after talking for 30 minutes about state and local politics, the questions from the audience turned mainly on the presidential contest.

At any rate, if you're interested in this kind of thorough overview and preview, please give a listen here. You can download the mp3 file to play any time.

About

GOVERNING Politics is the place for news and analysis on campaigns and elections. If there's a ballot measure in California, a legislative election in Alabama, a mayoral election in Anchorage or a governor's race in Rhode Island, GOVERNING Politics probably is writing about it. We love everything about state and local politics, from polls and campaign ads to policy debates and demographic trends.
