Indiana GOP state Rep. Jon Elrod has dropped his longshot bid for Congress in a strongly Democratic district in Indianapolis, instead announcing he'll run for reelection. Elrod (whoops) missed the May primary for his current position, so local Republicans will have to caucus to nominate him.
