CEOs for Cities is founded on the principle that the intentional collaboration of cross-sector leaders and citizens is a powerful catalyst for change, and that deliberate and careful action must be taken to preserve the vitality of the places we call home. CEOs for Cities will hold its 2013 three-day national conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan—beginning September 29, 2013.This year’s conference theme is exploring the intersection of the private, public, nonprofit, and philanthropic sectors and the intersection of art, design, talent, and place to catalyze city success. We expect a record audience of over 250 cross-sector leaders from over 40 cities. We will use ArtPrize, the internationally acclaimed art competition that Time Magazine recently listed in its "Five Festive Events You Won't Want to Miss in 2013," as our backdrop, or better yet our canvas, to help our member business, community, foundation, and government leaders explore the best practices that are helping American cities grow in investments, talent and quality of life.
