Contributor

William Murray is the federal energy policy manager for the R Street Institute, a Washington, D.C.-based think tank, where he helps coordinate free-market solutions for issues including fuel-choice diversity, climate change and conflicts over public lands.

Murray joined R Street in July 2017 from RealClearPolitics, where he was editor of the website's energy page for two years. Previously, he spent three years as a foreign-policy and congressional reporter with the Energy Intelligence Group. Earlier in his career, he worked for eight years at Bloomberg News as a reporter in Washington and in the news service's London bureau.

Murray has graduate degrees in journalism and security studies from Columbia University and Georgetown University, respectively.
