Miriam Schulman

Miriam Schulman is the associate director and chief operating officer of the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics at Santa Clara University. In addition to managing the center's communications, operations and administrative activities, she facilitates the Emerging Issues Group, which brings Ethics Center staff and scholars together to discuss ethical issues behind the news.

Before coming to the Markkula Center, Schulman taught in the university's's Communication Department and was associate editor of the university's alumni magazine. She received master's degrees in journalism from Columbia University and in creative writing from Stanford University.
