Kish Rajan is chief evangelist at CALinnovates, a nonpartisan coalition focused on advancing a more modern economy by leveraging technology, and former director of California Gov. Jerry Brown's Office of Business and Economic Development.

An attorney and former business development executive in mobile technology, Rajan served a term on the Walnut Creek, Calif., city council and, early in his career, served as an aide to U.S. Sen. Barbara and to Phil Angelides, who went on to become California state treasurer.
