Josh Mandel, a Republican, was sworn in for his second term as the elected state treasurer of Ohio on Jan. 12, 2015. A Marine Corps veteran who served two tours in Iraq, he is a former member of the Ohio House of Representatives.
In 2014, Mandel was recognized with the Association of Government Accountants award for excellence in financial management and received the American Society for Public Administration's Public Integrity Award for "outstanding contributions to responsible and ethical conduct in public service."
Mandel holds a bachelor's degree from Ohio State University and a law degree from Case Western Reserve University.
