John Martin 
John Martin, a contributing editor for Governing, is editor and publisher of GovManagement Daily, an email newsletter on public-sector management.
Martin, a former managing editor of Governing, created and edited the magazine's website. Before coming to Governing at the time of its launch in 1987, he was an editor at newspapers in North Carolina, Georgia and Pennsylvania and at a national news service in Washington, D.C.
